"Scrum for Non-Techies" is my first book. In it I explain what is the principle on which both Scrum and all Agile methodologies are based. Having the essence clear, it is easier to understand why it is so powerful, and why it has led so many companies to success: Google, Amazon, ING, Microsoft, Facebook, BBVA Compass. Realizing that we have little time, I have condensed Scrum into just 100 pages, removing all the computer jargon, so that everyone understands it. I present numerous examples and show an end use case, where a renovation company applies Scrum to bring a home renovation to fruition. It is also a tremendously useful book for computer scientists, as it clarifies many concepts and is easy to read. Agile Coaching for Scrum Masters
This book complements the first, "Scrum for Non-Techies", as it covers the part of Coaching that is expected from Scrum Masters.
It could be considered as the second part of my first book.
To be a motivating leader, the first thing to master is the art of listening, to collect all the data. The second is knowing how to ask questions, to provoke awareness in our interlocutor and motivate them to consider new ways. Once we have detected gaps or needs, we can go on to generate action plans or provide our help. That will make us leaders who master the art of having productive conversations.
Therefore, I recommend this book for every leader, whether or not they are a Scrum Master. Knowing how to hold productive conversations is a plus for any leader.
